When Constance starts Seerhein. From here, the kilometers of the Rhine are counted and displayed at the shore with signs.
The shipyard, is still in Lake Constance. But even in the posterior part of Lake Constance, the Rhine water barely mixes with the water of Lake Constance.
The Rhine flows through Lake Constance, really long. It is not that a complete exchange of water takes place.
The northern part of the lake is hardly influenced by the Rhine stream. At the end of the shipyard, the Rhine leaves Lake Constance and is named after the Upper Rhine.
